Hot stuff - Nuun Electrolytes

One of the latest products on the UAG shelves (ha if only we had some!), has been flying out the door, almost as quick as we can get it in stock. Nuun is a hydration solution for anyone active. We all know we need to drink more and that staying hydrated is key to optimal performance. Did you know that a 2% loss in body fluids (i.e. through sweating) can equal a 20% loss in performance? Through high activity one can easily sweat this amount in an hour.

This is where Nuun comes in. It's the simplest hydration solution we've ever come across. It comes as a tube containing 12 effervescent tablets making a total of 6 litres of fluid. Drop one tablet in each 500ml water bottle, give it two minutes to fizz up and when it's gone flat, drink up. The mix of electrolytes are spot on to ensure rapid absorption in your gut and for once the flavour is palatable, even refreshing. The key to this is the lack of any sugar to aggravate your stomach or make your bottles and hydration bladders sticky and green.
