We've used this countless times in epic events, rides, commutes and dog walks, in the most horrendous rain and it stays waterproof and breathable no matter what you throw at it. eVent uses technology similar to Gore-Tex, but brings it into the 21st Century and performs far better. "The eVENT material on this Endura coat works brilliantly, and the multipanel cut means a great articulated fit on the bike, with a tall fleece collar and dropped hem keeping things super-snug. Rear shoulder vents increase ventilation(if you're bagless), while the velcro-tab sleeve hoik up easily."
Conclusion: Top fabric in a tough, well designed, all round fabric

"The past test winner walks away with honours again. We've been living and riding with Endura's eVent for a year now and are still very impressed with its performance. We haven't needed to re-treat the DWR finish. It's a great do-it-all jacket and although it's bulkier than the waif-like jackets, we feel it's worth carrying that bit of extra weight. The outer fabric is very tough and hard wearing and the breathability is on par with the higher priced Gore-Tex XCR jackets. The typically British fit has loads of room and the overall style fits in well with the harsh rigours of mountain biking. The clever little features also add up, like not speccing a water resistant main zip and ging for a double baffled, oversized, smoother operating YKK zip instead. Other features include rear shoulder vents, hem, neck and cuff closures, drop back with an anatomic cut and a back poacket that fits a standard OS sized map."
Conclusion: First class, all-weather protection with excellent features.

"Scottish epic specialists Endura add some useful features to excellent eVENT fabric. The eVENT fabric offers outstandingly high sweat transmission, although the rear shoulder yokes won't work with a bag...we've regularly used this jakcet as a windproof on dry or cold days. There' no shortage of weather proofing, with corded neck and hem and Velcro wrsits stopping drips. Hand and pod pockets, plus a more casual cut...and features a throat zip guard and reflective detailing on the mobile, multi-panel cut. It's £50 more expensive than the the eVENT coats from Pace and Gill, so you'd have to really value those extra pockets."
Conclusion: Fantastically sweat-free all-rounder, but price is slightly high.
