Most multisport helmets are seriously compromised one way or another, but the Kong Scarab really sets a new benchmark for just how good these helmets can be. It is currently the only helmet certified for use in all the sports that can be encountered in expedition adventure racing and it doesn't compromise in any of them. It's also ideal for fast action races like the Rat Race Urban Adventure where seconds count and carrying and swapping to separate helmets for climbing and biking is a drain.

Weighing only 245grams the Scarab is 'hyper-light' and perfectly suited to adventure racing of all types. Other designs really suffer with ventilation and can cook your head on a hot day, but the venturi venting system in the Scarab sucks air in through the front vents, speeds it up across your scalp and shoots the hot air it collects out the back. It's the best ventilated multisport helmet on the market.

The outer shell is polycarbonate and is in-moulded to the polystyrene inner, a process used by all the leading cycle helmet manufacturers to create a strong bond between the two layers, improving durability and longevity as well as strength.

Put on the helmet, press the rear wheel, rotate clockwise to fasten, rotate anti-clockwise to enlarge (51-62cm), lower or rise the button for a better fitting, adjust the side webbing moving them in the buckle.
