The long-sleeved stable mate of the SHIFU designed specifically as an ultra lightweight top for 24 hour to multi-day racing conditions including expedition events.
This is a top-of-the-range race top for all but the coldest (and hottest) of conditions; able to keep you cool in hot weather and warm in cold climates. The RONIN incorporates a raft of race-proven i-RULE design innovations; starting with the amazing MAPP Matrix® (merino-synthetic) fabric for optimal climate control, comfort and energy management; wind and sun protection are built-in.

Freedom of movement with or without pack when you run, ride, climb, paddle is assured through our D-Yokel® optimal movement design. A full length front zip is ideal for for adjusting airflow and the seam minimized design reduces pressure & failure points.

MAPP matrix is a new range of technical performance fabrics from Designer Textiles of NZ with field work and testing from iRULE.
It maximises athlete comfort, assists in reducing energy loss (from temperature and moisture fluctuations) and promotes a balanced regulation of core body temperature.
At the core of MAPP Matrix is an inner base layer of 100% NZ natural merino fibre which is linked with a protective outer layer of technical performance synthetic. This outer layer deters wind and water penetration while allowing efficient, managed evaporation of sweat.
This version of MATRIX is used in our lightweight winter race garments in a version which has a closer knit soft fine merino layer and is 20% heavier then its warm weather counterpart.
D-Yokel. A design feature for optimising shoulder rotation and arm movement. iRULE does not use raglan sleeve structures as they are restrictive. We also do not elasticise sleeves for the same reason.
