What is the Rat Race Urban Adventure? The Rat Race is a mental and physical adventure challenge that uses the cityscape as its playground over a whole weekend. Teams of three run, climb, mountain bike, abseil and kayak the streets, structures, waterways and urban landscape as they navigate their way around a course that's only revealed hours before they begin. The Rat Race Urban Adventure is designed to be extreme fun for all levels from newcomers to elite adventure racers. Focusing on clothing and equipment that works just as well in the city as it does in the hills, and with a bent on style as well as function, we stock everything you should need for the Rat Race Urban Adventure and all your day to day urban adventures, as well as a growing range for your weekend fun. Perhaps you're battling the London traffic on your daily cycle commute and need kick-ass lights to fend the taxi drivers off, or braving torrential rain in Aberdeen while you stand waiting to get the last bus home from the pub and wish your stylish jacket was stylish AND waterproof. We have what you need for taking on the urban monster and a growing range of products for adventure racing, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, running, parkour and triathlon, the stuff that we get passionate about when not sat behind the computer. John races with the UK's top adventure racing team Aberdeen Asset Management and has been racing and organising events for half a decade. With a background in equipment design he knows a thing or two about kit and as such is very choosy about what we sell on the site. If he won't use it, he won't sell it. Obviously that promise doesn't include ladies underwear, but his wife can recommend the ones we sell!
